Directors

 

Peter O'Dea

Peter holds a Diploma of Business Studies and is a member of the National Tax Agents Association. Prior to becoming part of the Hughes O'Dea Corredig team in 1987 Peter had many years experience with the Australian Taxation Office which included experience in complex audit assignments. As a result his specialist areas include tax and accounting.

He is a keen footballer and has played for Essendon Superules since 2002 and has also had a long association with St. Bernards Football Club, including many years as a player.

George Corredig

George holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a Fellow of Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (FCPA) and is a Self Managed Super Fund Professionals Association of Australia Limited Specialist Advisor.

He is particularly interested in Self Managed Super Funds and also specialises in Taxation and business advice to the small and medium business sector. His outside interests include AFL. Predominantly at a local club level where the players and supporters are more involved and the food is cheaper!

Darren Jinkins

Darren holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Darren became a part of the Hughes O'Dea Corredig team in 1999 and was appointed Director in 2006. Prior to this he spent 7 years at Webb & Co. Chartered Accountants (now William Buck).

His areas of interest include small and medium business advice, FBT and business structuring.

He is a family man and spends much of his time supporting his 3 children at their various sporting commitments. He is also a member of the North Melbourne Football Club and the Rupertswood football club at a local level.

 

Consultants

Denis Grant

Denis completed his accounting studies at Swinburne University and is currently a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association.

Denis has a wealth of experience, spending 14 years with the Australian Taxation Office, before working in a public practice and branching out into his own practice before joining the team at Hughes O'Dea Corredig in 1997.

His areas of expertise include tax and accounting advice to small to medium business clients.

Michelle Grech

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Finance & Commercial Law) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA). Before becoming part of the Hughes O’Dea Corredig Pty Ltd team in 2002, Michelle worked with Webb and Co Chartered Accountants.

Her specialist areas include business valuations, business structuring and tax planning for small to medium businesses.

Annalise Curran

Annalise holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). Before joining the Hughes O'Dea Corredig team, she gained valuable experience in areas including insolvency, tax and self managed super funds (SMSF) with larger city based Chartered Accounting Firms.

She continues to utilise that experience here and has specialized skills and knowledge in SMSF's.

Olivia Salay

Olivia joined Hughes O'Dea Corredig in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and specialises in tax and accounting advice to small to medium business clients.

Helen Turner

Helen holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Before joining Hughes O'Dea Corredig in 2014, Helen had worked in many firms, beginning her career in one of the largest Chartered Accounting firms.

Helen brings with her many years of experience in dealing with small and medium sized businesses.

Pat Aprile

Pat has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) and is a Certified Practicing Account (CPA). Since 2002 he has gained valuable business experience in varied accounting and tax roles, working predominately with small to medium enterprises.

Pats areas of expertise include SME business advice, tax planning and business structuring.

Outside of work he has a young family which keeps him on his toes and is a member of the Essendon Football Club.

 

Shaun Clarke

Shaun started with Hughes O'Dea Corredig in 2011 after relocating from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICCA). Shaun specialises in tax and accounting, dealing predominately with small to medium business clients.

Shaun enjoys spending time with his young family and is an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club. He plays football locally for St. Bernard's and was a member of the 2015 A grade premiership side.
